As we enter the first full month of Spring in the northern hemisphere, the cosmos reflect the closing of one season and opening of another. As you may have already noticed, we begin the month in the middle of eclipse season AND Mercury Retrograde … which can cause … chaos.
Don’t let it get you down, though. Things might feel a bit up in the air at the moment, but it’s really just an invitation to tune into yourself and hold space for those moments when we might just *need a minute*. Remember: Diamonds are made under pressure.
Let’s dive a bit deeper into what’s happening in April to see what the cosmos have in store:
April 3: Venus Conjunct Neptune in Pisces
Kicking off the month, the harmonious conjunction of Venus and Neptune in dreamy Pisces sets a mystical tone. Straight off the heels of Pisces season, this conjunction invites us to immerse ourselves in the world of our imagination, explore our spirituality, and practice unconditional love (both for others AND ourselves). It's a time to embrace compassion, creativity, and the beauty of the intangible.
April 6-7: Venus in Aries Sextile Pluto in Aquarius
As Venus steps into bold Aries, it forms a sextile with transformative Pluto in Aquarius, igniting passions and intensifying connections. This transit encourages us to embrace the courage to pursue our desires fearlessly while fostering deeper emotional connections that transcend boundaries. In a sense, it is a harbinger of what's to come for the rest of the month.
April 8: New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries (conjunct Mercury and Chiron)
Eclipse season ends with a bang as the Sun and Moon meet up in fiery Aries for a solar eclipse (which can be seen in totality in certain parts of the States!)
Aries — the first sign of the zodiac — is all about fast changes, impulsive decisions and clear- eyed confidence. While this would normally be a beautiful energy for a fresh start, this eclipse (conjunct Mercury Rx and Chiron in Aries) could bring up thoughts of being behind, not good enough, smart enough, etc.
Remember, the eclipse IS the ritual. The more you can allow whatever comes up for you to move through your body, rather than shoving it down into your subconscious, the more you’ll be able to process and learn from it.
April 9-11: Mars Conjunct Saturn in Pisces
The conjunction of Mars and Saturn in Pisces brings a blend of assertive energy and disciplined focus. It's a period for taking practical action toward our long-term goals while practicing patience and resilience.
Challenges may arise, especially during Mercury Retrograde, but with patience and perseverance, we can overcome obstacles and build solid foundations for the future.
April 10-12: Sun Conjunct Mercury in Aries
When the Sun meets Mercury in fiery Aries, our thoughts and communication are infused with vitality and confidence.
This alignment sparks clarity of mind and inspires us to express ourselves boldly and authentically. It's a favorable time for initiating conversations, making decisions, and pursuing intellectual pursuits.
Just keep in mind that, during Mercury Retrograde, we may find these conversations take more concerted time, effort, and patience.
